TA Report: Upper Paugussett State Forest

Snowy
Date: 3/11/2013
Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Upper Paugussett State Forest
Town: Newtown, CT
Trail Conditions: Wet & snowy

Wet
Observations/Information: While the Poly Brody is wet in the usual places and soft in others. The Upper Gussy is rocking, despite a few sections of snow that don't lend itself to good traction, however it's very rideable!

There was one blow down on the Poly Brody that I was partly able to take care of.  The top part of the tree was broken and I was able to clear that so at least hikers, horses, and bikes could get through.

The rain that the area will be seeing on Tuesday will definitely take care of the rest of the snow but I would wait a couple of days to let it drain before riding again.
