Date: July 6, 2014
Report Type: TA Report
Trail Name: Hurd State Park
Town: Haddam Neck
Trail Conditions: Good, a little grown in in places
Observations/Information: Rode Hurd with the bro on Sunday the 6th. The trails were in good shape, dry but not dusty, clear, and well used. The access trail from the parking lot by the stoplight was getting a little grown in with thorns. Fortunately I had my pruners and we took care of it before leaving. That area gets a lot of sunlight so it's only a matter of time before they grow in again. We also cleared a blow down on the Split Rock (yellow) trail, and I got stung by a bee in the process. Other than that there was nothing else for us to do.
