Report Type: TM Report:
Trail Name: Bluff Point State Park
Town: Groton
Trail Conditions: A little damp...still overgrown in places
Observations/Information: Glenn Vernes and I met at Bluff Point this morning and hiked pretty much all the way out to the point to tackle one of the heavily overgrown sections. Too my surprise some other industrious trail gnomes beat us to to worst section. Well that saved us a good deal of work. We made our way into the interior of the trail system trimming back as we went. After finishing we walked back through one of the sections cleared during the July TM session. Amazing how much grows in less than a month. We slowly made our way back toward the parking lot. I split off to walk the last part of the MBAS loop to reconnoiter for trail day(s) next week. About the only impassable section left is the "clear cut".
