Trail Name: River Highlands State Park
Town: Cromwell
Trail Conditions: good
Observations/Information: I took a quick after work spin at River Highlands on Saturday. The trails were in good shape and are getting a lot of use by bikers and unfortunately motos as well. At least one ATV and one dirt bike had come in off the railroad tracks and ripped around on the dirt roads, berming up the corners. The dirt bike might have been on the green trail through sidewinder as well. This could be a problem because if they ride irresponsibly they'll ruin the trails in short order.
Mountain bikers have been ramping the many logs in the park to make them easier to get over. In most cases they're not ramping the whole log, leaving a honcho line for the better riders or those looking for more challenge.
