Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Bluff Point State Park
Town: Groton
Trail Conditions: Trails are mostly dry/tacky...Everything else was MOIST.
Observations/Information: You know its summer when you finish a ride at Bluff Point, rarely removing foot from pedal, and you still come out bloody. Trails are mostly clear but there are sections that are a little tight. The thorns and vines have taken advantage of the warm, rainy weather and put on a growth spurt. Lots of work ahead of us to get ready for MBAS, although I think things are in better shape than last year at this time. Trails were mostly dry/tacky but the streams have water in them so those areas are a bit muddy. Rocks and roots were greasy from the humidity. The bugs only get you if you stop, so keep moving.
