Trail Name: Salmon River S.F.
Town: East Hampton
Trail Conditions: Good
Observations/Information: Brother and I rode the trails along the Airline Trail in East Hampton on Saturday. I was concerned that there might still be some snow in the area but there was none, and the trails were clear, well used, and as dry as a Hawkeye Peirce martini. I was amazed at how dry the soil was, given the winter we just had. Someone had definitely been in to clean the trails up as they were clear of limbs and blockages.
There are essentially two networks of bike trail in the area, connected by an old motorcycle trail. That trail had a few trees across, and wet areas. Once we got to the second set of bike trails we found them to be dry and clear with one exception- the trail that borders the hunting club land had a few wet spots and trees across. I'd avoid this trail for the time being.
