Hop River State Rail Trail

Date: Aug 2, 2011
Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Hop River State Rail Trail
Town: Vernon-Andover
Trail Conditions: Very good, dry
Observations/Information: Early evening ride out to RT 316 Bridge Out (Andover, CT). Easy riding not much traffic and trails clear of debris. I noticed new trail post markers from Steele's Crossing down to RT 316. Coming back, I ran into a group of (10) riders led by CTNEMBA member Mike Lefevre. The LTRA (Leisure Trail Riders Association) is a local group based out of Manchester. A great night to ride!
*NOTE: It blows me away the number of children & adults who DO NOT wear helmets! Stay safe!
