Trail Name: Hop River State Rail Trail
Town: Vernon-Bolton
Trail Conditions: Excellent
Observations/Information: I expected trail traffic on this beautiful warm day to be heavy. It was very sparse: a few joggers, some bikes, 2 on horse-back (Bolton Notch). One biker broken down with a pedal that stripped out, he didn't want assistance. I did catch up with a trail acquaintance. Danny was having lunch at the old Vernon train Depot. He's 67 years young and has logged 3,200 miles since March '11. Very impressive for any age! I'll be riding Sunday morning at 7:00am....oh by the way.... I'm not even close to 3,200 miles!
