Hop River State Rail Trail

Date: June 24, 2013
Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Hop River State Rail Trail
Town: Vernon, Bolton, Coventry
Trail Conditions: Very Good
Observations/Information: Summer is here....Hop River is in great riding condition. The surface is hard packed. However, there are areas in which heavy June rains carved erosion in the trail. Be cautious near the 2.75 mile marker and Vernon/Bolton town line marker. Local DPW crews have trimmed trail-side growth. Pockets of standing water is along the trail. Evening rides are very "buggy" if you stop frequently, so keep pedaling!
