Trout Brook

Date: 12/19/12
Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Trout Brook
Town: Easton
Trail Conditions: Beautiful, a bit windy, some mud puddles, some water puddles, other areas were dry that were usually wet
Observations/Information: I haven't been to Trout Brook for a while. Driving up Rt 58 N from Rt 15 was an eye opener. There is a tremendous amount of blow down on the sides of the road that has been cleared, it appears, from the roadbed. I can only assume that Rt 58 must have been closed to traffic for a while. My thoughts that Trout Brook would be covered with blow downs proved to be unfounded, everything was wide open, clean, whoever did the clearing, thanks a bunch!!! Even though today was Wednesday, the preserve was full of hikers, dog walkers, and a photographer. REMEMBER, THIS AREA IS CLOSED TO MOUNTAIN BIKERS EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2013!!! PLEASE DO NOT RIDE IN TROUT BROOK AFTER THE FIRST OF THE YEAR SO WE WILL NOT RISK LOOSING THE PRIVELEDGE OF RIDING THERE!!!

CORRECTION: THIS AREA IS CLOSED TO MOUNTAIN BIKERS EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2013...THAT'S 2013, NOT 2012, ALTHOUGH THIS POLICY WAS IN EFFECT ON JANUARY 1, 2012 AS WELL.
