TA Report: Hurd State Park

Date: 10/5/2012
Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Hurd State Park
Town: East Hampton

 Trail Conditions: Leafy and Slick
Observations/Information: With a couple stressful weeks at work behind me and a rainy weekend ahead I decided to play a little hooky Friday. What an awesome day for a ride, the only thing that would have made it better would be a little more color from the trees. The trails were a little damp from the recent rain but not muddy. Rocks and roots were a bit slick and the wet leaf cover made cornering an adventure in places. Other than that the trails were in great shape.

Hurd is a fun little place, super flowy with a few little drops/jumps that even a XC wimp like me isn't afraid to hit (there are several bigger stunts/drops scattered throughout the park).
