Date: September 19, 2012
Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Wadsworth Falls SP
Town: Middletown
Trail Conditions: Dry with blowdowns

Two blowdowns on the White Birch Trail

Observations/Information: This was our pre-meeting ride. We had three board members, all TAs. Unfortunately no one elected to come and ride with us. It was pretty dark in the woods by 6:30.

Calling in the Pizza
Despite the heavy rains of the night before the trails were dry- no puddles or mud. The soil was tacky for good traction and dust control. The previous night's storm also brought strong winds, and there was a new collection of blowdowns on the trails- some too big to clear. There's a new tree accross the lower end of the white trial. Those vines growing all over it are poison ivy, so don't try to climb over it, but go around instead. There's also a new tree accross Taco Bell that's easy enough to ride right over. Other than that the trails were in good shape.
