Trail Name: Upper Paugussett State Forest
Town: Newtown
Trail Conditions: A few wet spots here and there
Observations/Information: Headed over to Upper Pauggussett to cut up a tree that was down on the trail that I noticed last weekend only to find that it had been cleared.
On the Poly Brodie, you could tell there had been ATV or two.
They even went into the Gussy but tree down in the middle of the trail must have discouraged them. Looks like I will have to do that re-route afterall.
Did a little armoring on the first stream crossing because it was getting muddy on both the entrance and the exit.
After leaving the Gussy and heading down the Jeep trail to Sanford Rd there was a Snotober casualty that finally came down blocking the trail. Whipping out my trusty Trail Ambassador folding saw I expertly cut the branches opening the trail.
I didn't have time to however to do something about the crude up-and-over that was there because it started to rain and I heard thunder very close by.
