Trail Name: Cockaponset SF - Weber Woods section
Town: Westbrook, Conn.
Trail Conditions: Forest Roads on Proposed Easement
Observations/Information: Meet with Westbrook Land Conservation Trust (WLCT) members to tour proposed Elliot conservation easement adjacent to CSF at Dr. Weber's Woods. Forestry land management efforts detailed during the tour. Trails consist of forest roads used primarily by landowners on horse. One motor seen. Grant monies will be pusued to develop and protect a greenway from the CSF and south towards Long Island Sound. Horse Hill Woods (HHW) inclusion in this greenway requires additional conservation. Next WLCT meeting is Tuesday, 7PM, 15MAY12 at the Mulvey Community Center. HHW development plans will be discussed.
