Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: River Highlands State Park
Town: Cromwell
Trail Conditions: Pretty good
Observations/Information: I hit the Blow Hole for a quickie before work on Tuesday. The soil was a little moist, the roots a little wet. The leaves are starting to bloom (just in time for the cold weather). Still a tree accross the yellow trail. It doesn't look like the Blow Hole ever flooded this year. Reroutes are appearing around some of the steep hills. They're quick and dirty reroutes- not very well done. Some take you away from the view and won't get much use anyway.
I encountered a sleeping garter snake on the white trail (see photo). We're having a TM session here on Sunday May 6. We'll be realigning the top of the yellow trail, out of the mud. The new line will be more sustainable and a lot more fun to ride. Come out and help.
