Upper Paugussett State Forest

Date: 3/21/12
Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Upper Paugussett State Forest
Town: Newtown
Trail Conditions: Awesome
Observations/Information: I spoke with Mark Lurie yesterday about his 'new trail' connecting old logging roads and trails. Today, Javier and I met to ride the old and the new. As I was waiting for Javier, my cell phone rang, it was Mark stating he passed me on the road and would be available as he drove to Middletown should we need help finding the 'new trail' and or getting 'unlost'. So a new way of riding a new trail was utilized. I called Mark twice from the forest with trail location questions, he provided answers and we continued on our way. I was surprised to see a group of about 1/2 dozen who basically rode the same trails as we did, however, they did it in the opposite direction.

Ed, it's not a new trail per say, in fact it's been there all along, just never marked.

There isn't a plaque but there is a write up somewhere that mentions the forest road was dedicated to her.
