Hop River State Rail Trail

Date: Oct 23, 2011
Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Hop River State Rail Trail
Town: Vernon-Andover
Trail Conditions: Very Good

Observations/Information: Sunday morning ride started at RT 30 (Vernon) headed out to Burnap Brook. Considering the rain soaked Sept/Oct the Hop River has very good riding conditions. The sounds of waterfalls made for a peaceful ride. Leaves have been blown off most of the trail too. In the Valley Falls area, new signs for the Shenipset Trail have been posted. Trail usage was very low this morning: a few joggers/dog walkers, 4 bikers, UConn mens cross-country team. Happy Sunday!
