TA Report: West Hartford Reservoir

Date of Activity: 8-1-2010
Condition of Trail: Hard & Fast
Trail Ambassador Name: Daren Casey
Encounters & Observations: Hard, Packed & FAST. What a great day to ride a
bike! The trails are almost too fast, if I'm allowed to say that. It
appears that the trails at the Rez are becoming faster because people are
going to the sides where it's less rocky and straighter instead of as many
twists and turns. I have a feeling what group(s) are causing this so they
can keep their momentum up. The trails aren't being ruined but some
sections are becoming less technical and less of a challenge.
I've heard some new trails have
been formed. I plan on exploring this
weekend to locate them. hopefully. . oh, I've 'heard' a trail has been
formed along the fence of the construction area. I've 'heard' it's a tight
squeeze so if you're going to ignore the Stay Out signs, be careful.
