TM Report: Pittsfield State Forest, MA

Date of Activity: 5/22/2010, 5/23/2010
Condition of Trails(s): Awesome -- did some great work this week
Observations: - Pittsfield State Forest is not the pitts at all! What a great place to ride, work on the trails, camp and hang out. This was one killer weekend! 40 folks from all over New England and 2 from Puerto Rico attended. The IMBA trail crew, Chris and Leslie, instructed, along with NEMBA trail bosses. We even had 7 people from CT attend, picture above. The first day I attended the bridge building breakout- 82 ft of boardwalk and bridge completed... unbelievable! The second day we moved rock and more rock and more rock. The riding was mighty fine too! Ruth from Berkshire Chapter led us on a ride through the jungle ( I am not telling you what this means- you'll have to check it out on the MBAS ride on June 6, and a private stock of swoopy fun singletrack. Of course we had to ride over the new bridge a couple of times!
