TA Report: Wadsworth Falls State Park

Date of Activity: May 7, 2010
Condition of Trail(s): Good, dry. Feel free to join us for the pre meeting ride tomorrow night at 5:30 in the main lot on rt. 157.

Trail Ambassador Name: Glenn Vernes
Trail Ambassador Email: glennvernes33athotmaildotcom
Town: Middletown
Location: Wadsworth Falls State Park
Trail(s) Ridden: Green, yellow, red, unmarked
How did you use the trail?: Mountain Bike
What was the time of day?: Afternoon
Duration (Hours): 1.5
Distance (Miles): 8 or 10

Observations: Then trails at Wadsworth were as dry as I’ve ever seen them. Even areas that hardly ever dry were dry (such as the red trail below the four corners). The yellow (Laurel Brook) trail has now been re-routed over the new bridge, and the Little Falls trail is now blazed a pastel blue (not CFPA blue trail blue).

There are some new blowdowns that need clearing, and a lot of sticks and branches due to recent high winds.

You can really fly on these smooth, fast, twisty trails once they’re clear of leaves, and you get some miles in your legs.
