Access to Trout Brook Valley threatened!

It has come to the attention of Aspetuck Land Trust that there is quite a bit of biking taking place in Trout Brook Valley during this no biking season (January through April).

The biking tracks have been noted all over TBV by our stewards & bikers have been stopped in the Bradley lot while taking bikes off vehicles, in spite of the posted non-biking signs.

The trails at Trout Brook Valley badly need a rest & the continued violation of this 3 month ban runs the risk of terminating biking in TBV for all.

I hiked there about 5 times this winter and only saw a couple of tracks up around the Jump Hill entrance

I was there this morning and clearly saw MTB tire tracks in the fresh mud from the recent storm.

Plenty of riders today and intent to hit the trail.

Well, it's open now and it's a popular place - what do you expect?

Expect? Well, to follow the rules. The Magenta trail is now closed due to that kind of riding and the rest of the area is in danger. I like to ride too, but it's beyond me that folks can't lay off when it's best for the trails and the community to stay off.
