Report Type: TM Report:
Trail Name: Wilton Woods

Trail Conditions: WET
Observations/Information: Ryan Tucker and I tackled the removal of a huge tree in the river on the orange trail. This tree has created a dam that has raised the water level behind the tree 2 feet higher and after a rain the river swells even more and breaches the bank. The trail has completely been destroyed for about 75-100 feet; an approved re-route not has to be put in, currently there is a temporary re-route

Date: 5/31/2011
Report Type: TM Report
Trail Name: Wilton Woods
Town: Wilton
Trail Conditions: damp, buggy
Observations/Information: Received approval to move a wooden bridge on a close trail across the park to the north white trail which has a small stream crossing it and a problematic wet area. I brought my mountaineering backpack and took 3 loads of about 70lbs each across the park about 1 mile and then rebuilt the bridge and began some rock armoring across the muddy area, but the skeeters started to get the best of me so I left and will return to complete the armoring.
