Little-Laurel Lime Ridge Park

Date: 7/9/2014
Report Type: TA Report
Trail Name: Little-Laurel Lime Ridge Park
Town: Seymour
Trail Conditions: Varied
Observations/Information: I finally got around to taking the big orange beast back into Little-Laurel Lime Ridge Park, to try the loop around from the other side (i.e. clockwise).

Trying to find the trail as per the Land Trust map is difficult. It appears the ATV guys have been in there riding practically everywhere (including copious fall line), and blazes become spotty on the western side.  Just "making left traffic" - my original plan - is insufficient.  If you're not very careful, you can even find yourself off the property.

Eventually I was able to make my way to the overlook on the west side, but not without some very steep hike-a-bike.

(Yes, this is a 3D anaglyph of a piece of very gnarly fall line. Yes, you'll need the glasses. No, it's not my best 3D work - apologies.)

Time and distance include copious backtracking trying to find "the" trail.
