Zemko Pond Wildlife Management Area

Date: Oct. 2, 2013
Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Other (named in Information area)
Town: Salem
Trail Conditions: Good
Observations/Information: This was my first ride through Zemko Pond Wildlife Management Area in Salem, but it won't be my last. The property features rolling woods roads (my favorite) that turn to single track at one point. The trails are in excellent condition because they are lightly used, so I enjoyed riding on soil, not bouncing over roots and rocks. To reach the area, from the junction of Routes 85 and 82 in Salem, head north on Rt. 85. Just past Town Hall is Round Hill Road. Turn right and go about 1 mile. The driveway to the Zemko Pond area is on the right. The trail leads out to Rt. 82. There is a basic map at http://www.theday.com/assets/pdf/NL7240363.PDF
