Upper Paugussett State Forest

Date: 8/14/2013
Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Upper Paugussett State Forest
Town: Newtown, CT
Trail Conditions: Dual Track (shaken, not stirred) Single Track (Duncan Hines)
Observations/Information: For the first time in long while the Poly Brody is dry, even after the shellacking we got on Friday and Monday.

The singletrack trails, Gussy and Mulikin, are kind of moist.

There is a tree down on lower section of the Mulikin.  Singletrack is looking well ridden in, too.

So it finally happened! Somebody foot raked around the exposed roots on the blue trail.

By the fact that it goes straight and then drops down tells me it was most likely done by hikers and not bikers because bikers would have have seen the nice straight line further down that would meet back up with the trail.

That's horrible..learn how to ride the trail, or walk. Trail is turning into a superhighway.
