TA Report: River Highlands State Park

Date: October 15, 2012
Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: River Highlands State Park
Town: Cromwell
Trail Conditions: Fluffed

Observations/Information: I went for a beat the rain ride at River Highlands Monday afternoon, although the rain didn't come. Trails were in good shape although the leaf layer is getting deeper, and still fluffed. Some of the secondary trails (such as the blue at the north end) are being ridden but are not well tended. There are lots of sticks and logs down and the trails can be hard to follow. The yellow and green trails were easy to follow.

I tried to ride every trail in the park at least once, and was surprised to find I had ridden over nine miles- a lot for such a small park. It's possible to get a pretty long ride in here if you ride every trail, plus a little repetition.
