TA Report: George C Waldo State Park

The usual route taken
Date: 9/26/2012
Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: George C Waldo State Park
Town: Southbury, CT
Trail Conditions: Greasy and Leafy
Observations/Information: The morning's light rain didn't do much to soften the trails any but made all the non dirt surfaces very slippery. More than one time I slipped on a rock or root.

People are still parking straight in. The couple that came up for the beach that were collecting driftwood looked at as if I was crazy for asking them the next time they came to try and park perpendicular to the entrance. By parking that way you can fit more than 5 cars as if you were to park straight in.

Ed and Tony
Came across Ed Perten and his friend Tony riding back up Waldo. I thought I recognized his car in the lot! Inside the car was a CT NEMBA Trail Ambassador jacket, too. Ed showed me where his knee met with some rocks as a testament to the greasiness of the trails.

Down by the Sea someone left a bag a trash hanging on tree.  While that's nice who did they leave it for to haul back up and why didn't they just take it up themselves?
