Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Collis P Huntington SP
Town: Bethel & Redding
Trail Conditions: Good
Observations/Information: Paula and I hit Huntington Saturday afternoon. Paula's second ride of the day, my first. We parked at the statues lot and rode through the fields, over the big stone wall. The fields were dry and the path freshly mowed. We rode the north half of Rock n'Roll, played around the Burn Loop area, then Dam Good, and finally the southern half of Rock n'Roll. The trails were dryer than expected given the recent rains, just a little thick, gooey mud in the low places, and no new blockages. Still a tree blocking the boardwalk, and the plank detour is starting to deteriorate, but is still rideable. The braiding activity in the Burn Loop seems to have stopped, at least for the time being.
Huntington would be a good place to ride tomorrow morning, just do it before the rains come.
