TA Report: Hurd State Park

Date: April 8, 2012
Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Hurd State Park
Town: Middle Haddam
Trail Conditions: Good

Observations/Information: Paula and I rode Hurd on Easter morning. Trails were in very good shape for the most part. They have been cleaned up from last year's severe weather events, and look as though they've seen recent chainsaw and leaf blower action. The trail network is also expanding, it was a busy winter for the trail gnomes. Most of the trails are well done, but one, unfortunately, is not. It's a freeride trail that goes straight down fall lines and is very poorly done. It won't hold up for long.

Hurd continues to be a well maintained and well-ridden place for the most part.
