Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: River Highlands State Park
Town: Cromwell
Trail Conditions: Very good
Observations/Information: Paula and I visited the Blow Hole Saturday afternoon. Our main purpose was to scout out projects for an upcoming TM event, and Paula's experienced eye found several. They involve rerouting trails for more fun, better flow, and more enviornmental sustainability. The date is Sunday May 6th, so keep an eye on the blog and come participate.
The trails were in good shape, dry and getting a lot of use. It looks like the leaves were blown off many of them, and some reroutes are popping up around some of the steeper slopes. I'm also seeing a lot of new braids and chicken lines, unfortunately. I blocked one near the parking lot with several large tree limbs.
