Report Type: TA Report:
Trail Name: Collis P Huntington SP
Town: Redding
Trail Conditions: Good, but some wet spots & a few trees.
Observations/Information: Hit Huntington Friday afternoon and found the trails to be in good shape, although there are some wet/soft spots in the low lying areas. A little wet on the boardwalk trail -let's give it some time to dry, and a few sections of Rock and Roll at the south end. There's also a large tree across Rock and Roll, also at the south end. The north end is fine. Nate and his crew have done a great job of clearing the carriage roads of storm damage- you can see the log piles everywhere. The very southern end of the South Pond loop is also very wet (see photo), you'll want to take the split rock bypass to avoid that. Burn Loop is fine. Leaves are beginning to fall and make all of the trails harder to follow.
Huntington would be a great place to ride this weekend, so get out there!
