Observations/Information: The first official weekend of fall, this morning was all quiet on the Hop River. In my 2 hour ride, I may have passed (10) joggers....no bikers. My friend Phil hit the road, preparing for the Ashford Metric Century Ride next weekend. The trail was damp and leaf covered. Trail-side water basins are full from the September rains. It was peaceful hearing the flowing water run through Valley Falls. The humid conditions brought out some bugs, if stopping for more than a few minutes. I did pick up a couple of water bottles for trash.
