TA Report: Huntington State Park

Date: June 3, 2011
Report Type: TA Report
Trail Name: Huntington State Park
Town: Bethel
Trail Conditions: Great
Observations/Information: Paula and I hit Huntington Friday afternoon. The place was not very busy for such a perfect day. We encountered the usual hikers and dog walkers, as well a a smattering of mountain bikers. Trails were in great shape, only a tiny bit of thick mud in the lowest areas, nothing in the way of blowdowns, and dry soil. Someone is continuing to do good work in closing braids, this time on the burn loop. Uneventful from a TA standpoint. I encountered some young riders on the big roll-down by Old Dodgingtown Rd and gave them tips on how to ride it.

Huntington would be a great place to ride this weekend, so get out there!
