Trumbull-Pequonnock

Date: May 29, 2011
Report Type: TA Report
Trail Name: Trumbull
Town: Trumbull
Trail Conditions: A little slimy, some mud in the low areas.
Observations/Information: Paula and I rode Trumbull Saturday morning. We rode out on the red trail, did the yellow, back on the blue. We also hit Old Mine, and rode up to the industrial park. Trails were a little wet and slimy, making the place even more challenging than usual. Some mud down low near the river. Paula cleaned the section by the mailbox for the first time (going up), and was very happy. We had the opportunity to help a rider tighten a loose spoke.

The trails here are well used, but work is being done to armor wet areas, close braids, and make the place more sustainable. Like sidehill trails, roots, and rocks? You'll like this place. There's also a lot for the freerider, although we didn't try that.
