TA Report: Hartman Park

                                      need bridge here!

Date: 5/1/11
Report Type: TA Report
Trail Name: Hartman Park
Town: Lyme
Trail Conditions: great, surprisingly awesome!!
Observations/Information: Steve hit me up friday to schedule a ride for today.Decide on Hartman cause neither one of us have been up there in some time. Forgot just how boney the place is!! fun to bounce around on. More than normal hike-a-biking as I'm way out of shape!! Trails are in near perfect condition. some trees down but nothing terrible, I really expected more after all this weather the last month. Few areas where I'm going to get bridges in.. (pictures) People keep trying to armor it and all I does is back up the stream and spread the mud out more... going to tear out the rocks and bridge over as well as armor up the muddy spots approaching. Got to get a hold of Linda at the town and see what's what first... :)
Will be posting up a date on the forum/calendar

nice view even if the power lines are there!
Ran into a few other bikers at the lot but they quickly left Steve and myself behind! timed out right back at the parking lot as they rode in right at the same time. My Van was stuck in a rut and they helped push it out... thanks god!!

Was going the make fun of Dave's image at Wilton Woods below where he's got the bug netting on, but damn, I wish I had it today.. though they make you just keep moving more!!

Nice job clearing the branch although I expect you'll put on the TA jersey and go back for a reenactment photo shoot ;-))
