Observations/Information: It was my first time out on the MTB this year and boy was I surprised at how good the trails were. We certainly need to get into the woods and cut up some blow downs and clean up some the the trails that have been eroded by the winter. Even with this work to be done the trails are in good shape with little mud.

People keep trying to block off the new section of yellow trail that NEMBA built last October. Perhaps some temporary signage might be in order?

Yes, it's common. Just need to keep opening it up.

Okay, I'm confused. I see the trail reports and the trail maintenance post. Yet, according to the DEEP (DEP) website Penwood State Park trails are supposed to be foot traffic only.

I would love to try a ride at Penwood since it very close to home. But I don't want to violate state park rules and add to the negative perception of some people towards cyclists.

It's a popular place to ride and the DEEP website needs updating.
