TA Report: Upper Paugussett State Forest

TA Report: Paugussett State Forest
Date of Activity: 9/14/2010
Trail Conditions: Excellent!

Observations: Parked on the side of the road at the boat ramp. Took the connector to Polly Brody and up the 3 hills (no callin on granny) to the trailhead of Gussy. Saw a dad and his young son bombing down the Polly Brody as I climbed up. At the beginning of Gussy someone decreased the pitch on the up-and-over. Its nice work, but I kind of liked it steep.

Blasted through the rest of Gussy. Felt very fast and flowy today. Almost made it over the new blowdown. Got hung up at the top.  I heard Paula cut it out soon after I passed through. Didn't see any riders on the Gussy but I did come across a young guy riding up the scenic road to the lot and then up the Polly Brody. We chatted for a bit and then I sped off back down to the connector and back to the boat ramp.
