TA Report: Paugussett State Forest

TA Report: Paugussett State Forest
Date of Activity: 8/20/2010
Trail Conditions: Good.
Observations: A beautiful fall day on the Gussy (oh wait, its still August). 55 degrees, leaf covered trails and both wild turkeys and deer running around. Really strange climate for August. I hear the lack of rain has put the trees in shock which explains all the downed leaves. No other riders out there, but lots of evidence that there are people riding the Gussy regularly. Every time out lately I see new features; a flat rock leaned against a downed tree, up-and-overs formed out of rock. It's nice to see activity on this fun trail. Some expansion in the future would be nice. I hit all the stunts this morning and its all in good shape and the trail feels nice and flowy. Next time out I think I need to bring my small saw as there are some storm damaged tree limbs affecting the trail.
