TM Report: Cockaponset SF / Weber Woods

TM Report: Cockaponset SF / Weber Woods
Date of activity: June 8, 2010
Condition of trail(s): Nice and dry
Trail Ambassador Name: Don Hazuka
Encounters and Observations: downed tree made trail passage impossible so a rude detour had been created and ATV usage in area was really causing havoc; also received a request from horse riders to assist with this work so it would be easier for them to pass (there is a lot of horse activity on these trails); due to tree size, had to haul chainsaw ¾ miles out to location which provided opportunity to clear trail of small blow down from recent winds; overall this section of the green trail was in great shape and dry; an absolutely beautiful day.
