Trail Ambassador Name: Vin Lore
Trail Ambassador Email: vlore[at]alum.rpi.edu
Town: Bethel
Location: Collis P. Huntington State Park
Trail(s) Ridden: Rock & Roll, Chimney, Blue, White, Red, Big Burn
How did you use the trail: Mountain Biking
What was the time of day: Late afternoon
Duration (Hours): 1.5
Distance (Miles): 8

Observations: The trails seem to have drained and dried up pretty well after the heavy rain. There are some wet spots on the Rock & Roll trail. One spot on the South end could use some better armoring. I'll get to it when I have some more daylight. There is a real swampy spot on a section of White trail that cuts across form the Blue to the Red trail just past the stream crossing with the little bridge coming off the Blue trail. I have rarely seen this spot dry and a previous reroute is now under water as well. If it doesn't dry up soon it could definitely use some serious armoring or better yet a bridge. I'll keep my eye on it.

Trail Maintenance: Sawed off a piece of a fallen tree and a mess of vines blocking the trail on Big Burn. Picked up a bunch of beer cans on the Chimney Trail. It is possible to mash 11 beer cans small enough to fit in a jersey pocket!
