Observations: Recently, one of our trail ambassadors represented CTNEMBA at the Aspetuck Land Trust Family Day. One of the land managers did say to the trail ambassador that she is not pleased with mountain bikes riding on off limits trails. This issue seems to reappear from time to time. There have also been issues with mountain bikers riding when the trails are closed to biking, which is from January 1 to April 30. The Aspetuck Land Trust is a private land trust that manages Trout Brook, which is actually owned by the DEP. The Aspetuck Land Trust does encourage anyone using the trails on a regular basis to join or send a donation. If any TA's read this and ride at Trout Brook, please record your hours so that we can pass them along to the land manager.
