Spent a three of hours on Sunday working on the Pond Brook Connector Trail at Upper Paugussett State Forest. Part of the agreement with the DEP for allowing the Upper Gussy Trail to be built was to fix this trail. Hikers, Horses, and bikes climb right up the bank from the stream and have created this hideous scar. So I started a massvie benching effort to redirect the trail in a series of switch backs that will tie into the existing fisherman's trail. I will probably build a connector trail to the main trail head because everyone is used to starting from there. For more pictures, check out The Upper Gussy Trail Blog.
