Morning Duration (Hours): 2.5 Observations: Due to heavy rains this year, the trail to the north footbridge has undergone serious erosion. Although the trail is just a short jaunt from the rail bed to the bridge, it was built on a fall line and the rail bed itself is starting to washout. As an alternative to hikers and bikers, I reopened the bramble trail (a hundred feet south). It was extensively overgrown -- a dense thicket of pricklers needed cutting - ouch! Is this a sustainable solution? No -- with a couple of years, unless trimming is scheduled, it will grow back. Nature has it ways...
