Encounters & Observations:   Some "short cuts/herd trails" in evidence on the Rock & Roll trail present concerns about trail erosion, park extremely crowded, parking lots full, bikes, horses, walkers. Spoke with some horseback riders who informed me that the gravel parking lot along side the main parking lot was originally established for horseback rider trailers to enable them to turn around. They asked to have it graveled, the state came through. However, with no signage and a shortage of parking spaces on a beautiful day, she had trouble finding a spot for her trailer rig and for space to turn around in as cars monopolized the lot. I encouraged her to contact the park personnel/state for signage and or parking lot indicators on the ground to indicate areas for horseback rider trailer rigs.
